Each complete Unit covers three topics and one peoples/civilization and includes the cumulative Quiz Show Game. Each Section covers a single topics of history and includes: main points of the topic, list of suggested online and print resources, one related activity, and a quiz plus keys.
Rather than cover topics of world history chronologically, Big Ideas through History is taught through the exploration of the big ideas and events that shaped our world through time. Using resources picked by individual educators to best fit each unique classroom, the Big Ideas through History program can be adapted to any age or grade with suggested resources including websites, web videos, picture books, student reference books, and novels/chapter books.
Each Section of Big Ideas through History is designed to cover a complete, stand alone topic without the need to cover earlier topics first, and any Section can be taught individually or used to accompany other programs.
